This is a 2 month assignment in Brentwood, TN south of Nashville. Will validate the design and configurations of a new Cisco LAN/WAN. Will then help compile a RFP to be sent to service providers. Focus is on the network inside the data centers and on architecture and design versus configuration/implementation. (There are three very large data centers with over 1000 servers each.)
Must have in depth Cisco LAN/WAN skills in enterprise settings and current experience with Cisco 3750 and 6500 switches.

This is a 24 week project. Full-time hire by client is unlikely. Must be local candidate or someone else who's available on-site for duration of project.
Responsibilities will include:
Documents problems and corrective procedures using client's templates.
Recognizes, researches, isolates, and implements steps to resolve implementation and migration problems.
Escalates problems and/or questions to the proper team lead or manager.
Interacts with Collaborative Services’ administrators and engineers to identify and correct problems.
Requires the operational use of applications such as Exchange Management Console, Exchange Management Shell, Exchange System Manager, and Quest Active Server Roles.
Works within standard operating procedures and policies.
Recommends enhancements to standard operating procedures and policies based on experience.
Uses team and project meetings to keep the team fully aware of the progress of assigned projects, and to support a team environment with continuous feedback and idea sharing.
Identifies critical path activities, resolves potential bottlenecks, and prioritizes assigned server tasks. Openly shares information and expertise with others to enable them to accomplish group goals and meet project deadlines.
Implements suggestions for increasing process effectiveness and improving quality of work or services for Collaborative Services.
Required Technical Skills:
Windows XP Pro Operating System, Windows Server 2003 32bit Operating System, Windows Server 2003 64bit Operating System, Microsoft Office, MCSE, TCP/IP network troubleshooting, remote connectivity troubleshooting, understanding of layered applications, physical and virtual server troubleshooting, and business software troubleshooting skills.
Possess job skills of an experienced Exchange 2003 / 2007 and Mobile Messaging (Blackberry, Good, and ActiveSync) administrator.
Possess technical knowledge needed to design, plan, and schedule the migration of thousands of mail accounts from Exchange 2003 to Exchange 2007 in an enterprise class messaging environment.
Provide creative and innovative ideas that enable the efficient and effective implementation of Exchange 2007 and the successful migration of mail accounts on or ahead of schedule.
Perform technical project tasks assigned with minimal supervision.
**The key requirements for this position include the following:
---Strong knowledge and experience with Microsoft Exchange 2007 in a clustered environment
---DB or PowerShell scripting skills are highly desirable
---Experience utilizing Microsoft's native tools for doing mailbox migrations along with custom scripting
---Experience as part of a team in documenting, planning, testing, and upgrading Exchange per project goals and deadlines

Very senior level position at large client site. Contract through end of year and may go longer. Must be willing to participate in 24X7 on-call rotation. Candidates will be expected to be key participants in one of three projects: (1) data center move from Tampa to Louisville, (2) merging another company's domain into client's domain, (3) migrating all 2000 servers to 2003.
Required Skills:
* Extensive experience in high visibility, large scale projects requiring strong technical skills
* Strong systems design, implementation, and troubleshooting skills
* Enterprise level experience supporting Windows 2003 environment
* Enterprise experience with Active Directory
* Enterprise experience with HP/Compaq server hardware, disk arrays, and subsystems
* Experience providing Windows & Web server support - includes Active Directory, IIS, ISA, Whale, and IAG
* Experience defining Windows and web server configuration specifications for promoting applications to production, business, and technical requirements.
* Ability to communicate effectively with strong organizational and problem solving skills
* Very positive go-getter attitude, must be able to hit the ground running
Preferred Skills:
* Windows 2000 / 2003 MCSE
* 4 years of Information Systems experience
* 3 years of Windows Server & Web Infrastructure support in a large scale environment
* Proficient at developing systems administrative scripts using VBScript
* Experience configuring and supporting HP Proliant and Blade Servers
* Strong understanding of networking concepts, tools, and techniques related to Windows servers, web services, clustering, and load balancing

* Experience creating system support procedures and technical documentation
* Experience designing, configuring, and supporting Windows servers in a storage area network environment
* Experience supporting Windows systems in a virtualized environment
